Nicole is also a local photographer. I was fortunate enough to be able to spend some time with Nicole and her boyfriend Jason during a “Stylized photo session” that was also organized by other local photographers and wedding vendors. Nicole and Jason are not engaged but they had no problem modeling and showing off some of my fun “engagement” props. Thanks again for modeling, it was great working with the two of you. On Monday April 9, 2012 a bunch of local photographers, models, hair and makeup artists gathered at the Elm Bank, Massachusetts Horticultural Society in Wellesley, MA to do a stylized photo session. While working with many photographers all at once can be fun, sometimes it’s not the easiest. With over 15 photographers in the same room working with the same models sometimes it isn’t easy getting a shot in. With this session other than a few minutes I got to spend with the groom and the bridesmaid everything I captured wasn’t posed. I just sat back and photographed what caught my eye. Better late than never. Not only do I LOVE to photograph but I like to write as well. For those of you who don’t know, the day I launched my very first blog to the public was the day that my Dad had passed away. It’s been a long emotional 6 months to say the least. All I wanted to do was photograph and share my images with others so they could see what I saw and hopefully feel what I felt when I took them. As you can see I haven’t blogged a whole lot since it’s been up and running and now you know why. I am getting stronger every day and with the wonderful friends, family and clients that I am blessed with it really helps me through the days. I’ve wanted to post some of my favorite images and moments that I captured in 2011 months ago but hey better late than never right? I promise in the future I will blog more of my images. Enjoy!

Karen & Eric’s Engagement Session

It was another unpredictable January in New England. You never know if it’s going to be 30 or 50 degrees, sunny or snowy. Just days after a 50 degree day in Boston with no snow on the ground we headed to the Boston Public Gardens to do Karen & Eric’s engagement session and we were blessed to find that the gardens were beautifully covered with snow. Being from Boston myself I can’t remember ever going through there in the winter and it was simply beautiful! Karen being from Ireland and Boston now being her new home she really wanted to have their photos taken in the Boston area. We started in the Public Gardens and ended our day where the two of them went on their first date. I can’t wait to photograph their Cape Cod wedding!

Stephanie & Allen wanted to have their photographs taken at the Charlestown Navy Yard. Allen is originally from Charlestown, MA. It was a VERY cold windy winter day. We started out with some photographs of the two of them on the USS Cassin Young on the less windy side of the ship and then worked our way around the park to the waterfront. We might have been numb by the end of the session but I think we all had fun. I’m looking forward to photographing their “Big Day” in July. I’m sure it will be much warmer then.

Samantha Jean

Baby Samantha was born in October and was just 4lbs 9oz and 19 inches long when she was brought into this world. She arrived a bit earlier than expected but it was such a treat to see her at Mommy’s baby shower. Samantha has turned out to be a healthy baby girl and we’re happy to welcome her to the family. I look forward to taking more photos of her while she grows up.

Liam Paul

Baby Liam Paul was born on Novemeber 8, 2011. He was 8lbs 11oz and 19 1/2 inches. I met Liam Paul for the first time when he was just 16 days old and he was just precious. You could really tell that Mom & Dad were so happy and proud to have the new little guy in their lives. Since it was so close to Christmas we captured his first holiday portraits in his cute winter sweater and Santa outfit.

Ashlee’s Senior Session

Originally it was decided that we were going to have Ashlee’s senior portraits taken at the beach in the Summer. Time flew by and before we knew it it was November. A call came in from Ashlee’s Mom wanting to schedule her session. Even though it was a cold Autumn day in New England Ashlee was a good sport about it. I photographed Ashlee as long as I could before the rain storm came in. We finished up just in time! Here are some of my favorite photographs from our session.

Chevy Sonic Adventure

On Saturday October 29th my assistant Mike Jackle and I photographed the Chevy Sonic Adventure, presented by New England Chevy Dealers. It was a one day real world treasure hunt that kicked off at the Prudential Center in Boston. Teams of two had to solve challenges that were delivered to their cells phones in order to earn points. The teams had to deal with more just solving the challenges, they also had to do the treasure hunt on foot around the city in the pouring rain. The team that accumulated the most points won a brand new Chevy Sonic.

The two teams with the most points were announced and got into a pair of beautiful new Chevy Sonic cars.

They were both told to put the keys in the ignition but not to start the engines.

Only one of the cars were going to start.

Congratulations on winning your new Chevy Sonic! I guess all the running around in the rain was well worth it!

2nd Annual Diamond Dash

On Saturday 10.1.11 over 600 people gathered in Boston for the Second Annual Diamond Dash presented by Long’s Fine Jewelers. They had to find clues and answer questions that led them to a chance to win a $20,000 Ritani diamond ring. Even though it was a humid day the rain held out for this amazingly fun filled day! The day kicked off with music by Kiss 108. Participants registered and then they were off to find that ring! When the game ended we later gathered at the Liquor Store on Boylston Street to give away the final prizes.
